We Are Intrepid
"You can't use an old map to explore a new world." -Albert Einstein
/inˈtrepəd/
adjective: fearless; adventurous
There's No Well-Worn Trail...
Leading to "becoming an Herbal Tea Farmer."
Forging such an uncharted path demands a fearlessness that I never knew I had.
(the subtitle I recently give myself is:
Shannon Ullmann, Intrepid Explorer
do you like it?)
We are all intrepid, no?
This month, I want to inspire the intrepid explorer in you.
Grab your teacup and join me.
Courage is Contagious
"Courage is contagious. Every time we choose courage, we make everyone around us a little better and the world a little braver." -Brene Brown
Honeybees: Do you ever just watch them?
On my farm...
They are acrobats.
Blossom suspending.
In-flight aerialists.
They are warriors.
Unflinching defenders.
Giving life for hive.
Their Courage Contagious
Just look...
One so small.
So intrepid.
Can do so very much.
And so can we.
Worth the Risk
"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."-Anais Nin
Growth Simply Demands...
That we be intrepid.
"One day you finally knew what you had to do... and began.
Though the voices around you kept shouting their bad advice.
But you didn't stop."
-Mary Oliver, The Journey
Chamomile Flowers
don't fear blooming.
Nor do I.
I am learning:
It's worth the risk.
Advancing with Confidence
"I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which (s)he has imagined, (s)he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours." -Henry David Thoreau
Your Next Right Step...
May be the ONLY STEP you're sure of.
Beyond that... the path is hazy.
Yet, I'm learning...
Advance with confidence.
Only then my NEXT STEP comes into focus.
For me,
confidence has come
not from knowing the future
but learning to
Trust
The Next Right Step.
Dear Tea-Drinker,
My blessing to you and myself this month: May We...
Share Courage. Allowing ourselves to inspire and be inspired by those around us.
Take Risks. Acknowledge that doing so demands our courage, but is simply necessary for growth.
Advance with Courage. Take the next right step, trusting each subsequent step will come.
As always:
Thank you
I'm honored to be your herbal tea farmer.
Be well,
Shannon
